The rare migratory bird known as Osprey that flew over  9,624.8 km  from Finland to Kenya has died. The four year old bird died at the weekend while under the care of Kenya Wildlife Service veterinarians  in Karen Nairobi. A postmortem examination report conducted attributed the death to long term starvation which precipitated systemic organ failure. "We regret to announce the death of the Osprey bird despite all efforts to rehabilitate it back into the wild," KWS Spokesman Paul Udoto said. The bird was rescued by Walter Oloo on January 20  from the  waters of Lake Kanyaboli in Siaya county. It had been caught in a fishing net and was struggling to free itself. It got bruised in the process. T he bird was delivered to the KWS Veterinary Department on January 23.  Apart from the bruises, the bird looked healthy. BUSINESS TRAVEL TO INCREASE WHILE PROTECTING THE CLIMATE. Some may be surprised to discover that the climate debate has a considerable impact on business travel. Two-thirds of the companies have adapted their travel policy as a result of the raised climate-related questions. The number of business trips will nevertheless increase this year. At least 61 percent of the CEOs and top managers surveyed by AirPlus International are convinced that business travel will increase in intensity in 2020.  One third expects the number of business trips to remain unchanged  (36 percent), while only 3 percent forecast a decline. This is the result of a current AirPlus survey of more than 400 board members and managing directors from Germany, the USA, China, Italy, and France. The most important reason for the further increase is cited by company managers as general sales growth or business expansion. Among those expecting more business trips, 94 percent cited this as one reason. 83 p
